Education for All
The Education For All Project prioritizes need above merit, with the belief that any child who wants to continue going to school has the right to do so.
We at G.E.W.S believes that problems plaguing the nation such as unemployment, crime, corruption and population explosion have all been created by the lack of basic education. Creating opportunities for children to be educated will help minimize, if not eradicate, such issues. We does not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, religion or gender.
Women Empowerment
Women in India have to endure many ordeals in their day-to-day lives. For centuries women of all generations have had to struggle to be treated as equals. Gender inequality is reflected in India’s low ranking on the Gender Inequality Index released by the UNDP, in 2016 India ranked 130 out of 146.
Women in India consistently lag behind men in terms of access to education, health care, jobs etc. Apart from the economic and social inequality, women are victims of heinous crimes such as dowry deaths, rape, molestation and immoral trafficking.
Child Protection
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. The Child Protection Programme is a core sector of our work. We utilize a child rights programming framework and keep in mind the cross-cutting themes of child participation, non-discrimination and best interests of children.
Health Through Awareness
At Guardian Educational & Welfare Society, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. A health awareness campaign for proper dietary and nutritional values among low income group specifically targeting women, children, old age and sanitation workers.
